Seth is from Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Kentucky in 2012, graduating cum laude with departmental honors. From 2012 to 2015, he attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he actively participated in the moot court program and Student Bar Association. In 2014, Stephen M. O’Brien, III, hired Seth to clerk at his firm. During Seth’s time as a clerk, he assisted Mr. O’Brien in multiple medical negligence trials in Kentucky. Steve hired Seth as an associate attorney immediately after he graduated law school and passed the Kentucky bar exam.
Since then, Mr. O’Brien’s law practice expanded to O’Brien Batten & Kirtley, PLLC. Seth is an associate at the firm. He has advocated for numerous clients from all over Kentucky who are victims of medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, trucking accidents and personal injury. He has appeared in circuit courts across Kentucky for his clients and has practiced in the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court.
